The trip to Vinicunca rainbow mountain is some distance from the city of Cusco and therefore we will pass by your hotel between 04:30 hrs - 05:00 hrs and then go to the picturesque town of Cusipata at 3,332 meters (2 hours approx.) located south east of the city of Cusco, where we will enjoy a delicious Andean breakfast.
Then we will continue with our trip for approximately 1 hour and a half until arriving at the viewpoint of Phulawasipata (4633 masl), point from which we will undertake our walk for (1 ½ hours approx.)
During the journey, we will pass through local towns, observe the high Andean landscape, graze alpacas and llamas, appreciate snow-capped peaks and lagoons of the area until we reach the highest point; the top of the mountain of colors Vinicunca (5,070 masl), it is from this point where you will be able to appreciate the Apu Ausangate snowy peak; sacred mountain since Inca times.
After such a wonderful experience we will undertake the return walk to board the vehicle and go to the town of Cusipata where we will have lunch, to finally return to the city of Cusco for approximately 5:00 PM.
