Experience the beauty and culture of Lake Titicaca on a 2-day adventure exploring the Floating Islands of Uros, Amantani, and Taquile. Discover the unique Uros Islands, where floating communities craft their homes and boats from totora reeds. Engage with local traditions and enjoy a boat ride on the lake.

On Amantani Island, stay with a local family, savor home-cooked meals, and immerse yourself in traditional customs. Optionally hike to sacred mountains and join a lively traditional party.

Visit Taquile Island to admire its renowned textiles and enjoy breathtaking views. Explore the town, visit textile workshops, and experience local cuisine. Conclude your journey with a scenic boat ride back to Puno.

Day 1

Cuye Travel Peru transportation will pick you up from your hotel in the city of Puno around 7:30 am to go to the port of Lake Titicaca. Upon reaching the port we will take the boat that will take us to the floating islands of Uros. Here you will be able to appreciate small local communities and families that live in islands built with totora, an aquatic herbaceous plant that grows on the surface of Lake Titicaca.

You will be able to appreciate all the works of the inhabitants elaborated with totora as they are: houses, handmade products and even totora boats that are used for their fishing activities and as means of transport. You can also take a ride in one of the boats built by these inhabitants. Our guide will explain about the lifestyle of the UROS people.

Continuing with the tour, we will go to the Island of Amantani. In the main port of Amantani, the community leader will welcome us and begin to divide the groups into groups. The local families will give us all the necessary attention to enjoy their accommodation, food and company. In this opportunity we will be welcomed in the houses of the communities and they will participate in their different customs, they will share their home-made food with products they arrive "from the harvest to the pot" with them you can share life experiences and practice or learn a little of Inca language such as Quechua or Aymara.

During the afternoon you will have the option of going for a walk to one of the sacred mountains known as "Pacha Tata", this walk will begin with the coordination of our guide.

After dinner, the members of the family will dress in traditional costumes and take you to enjoy a traditional party, where you will dance and sing along with the people and other guests.

Day 2

After breakfast we will depart to Taquile, famous for the production of their textiles, which show in their symbols their ways of life, beliefs and different customs of the place.

In Taquile you will walk along a narrow road enjoying breathtaking views of Lake Titicaca. Once in the town of Taquile, we will have free time to walk and learn more about the town and visit the different workshops where they produce their fabrics. At lunch time, we will meet for lunch at a local restaurant and taste typical food. (this lunch is not included in the package)

After the guided tour, the boat will take us back to the port of the city of Puno, arriving at around 3:30 p.m., our tour would ends with the transfer to your hotel.
