Between 09:40 hrs to 10:00 hrs, our bus will pick you up from the reception of your Hotel, and then we will go to the north part of the city to proceed to visit:
Sacsayhuamán, a wonderful construction whose main feature is the huge blocks of stone that fit together perfectly. Previously it was believed that this construction had military purposes as a fortress but through the years of study it was determined that the purpose of Sacsayhuamán was religious, as a center of worship or temple.
In this part of the valley, and not far from Sacsayhuamán is the Inca ruins of Qenqo. The Inca ruins of Qenqo were a very important place of realization in ceremonial offerings, as well as of Inca astronomical functionality.
Our last visit in this magnificent Cusco City tour, will be in the Inca ruins of Puca Pucará which was a construction with military purposes. Puca Pucará is a fortress composed of large walls, terraces and stairways being part of a defensive set of the Inca Empire before reaching the center of the Imperial City of Cusco.
Finally, we will visit Tambomachay, a place of worship to water, these two archaeological sites fulfilled important ceremonial, military as well as administrative functions in Inca times.
