Our private transport of Cuye Travel Peru, will pick you up from your hotel between 8:50 hrs to 9:00 hrs to start the tour. We will travel in our van until we reach the community of Chequerec (Chinchero) located at 3,650 meters above sea level. In this town you will receive the equipment and bicycle to start pedaling for an approximate of 1 hour and 30 minutes. Our stop will be at the archaeological site of "Moray" (3575 masl) which is made up of concentric circular cultivation terraces that achieve the effect of various micro climates making possible the cultivation of various medicinal and edible plants. The road to Moray is initially flat with small inclinations.
After a stretch, we will arrive at Maras where we will notice hundreds of wells from which the famous Maras salt is extracted. The landscape and contrast is amazing as you will see the salt fields reflecting the sky like mirror.
The technology used for extracting the salt is the same used by the inhabitants of the Inca period. At this point we will stop to taste our box lunch. After this visit we will continue to Urubamba, where our transport will wait for us to return to the City of Cusco. Arrival time approximately at 17:00 hrs.
